I have walked many of the pathways in the fields and woodland local to my home and other parts of Southern England where I grew up. These landscapes are so well known to me it is easy to pull their familiar folds, curves and textures from my mind and recreate them in my workshop through the forging, texturing and folding of copper. These copper landscapes are embedded in clods of earth dug from the actual sites (if possible) the glass is then cast from the earth using a direct plaster mould making process.
